In the letter to the editor by Schafhalter-Zoppoth et al. , entitled “The ‘Seesaw’ Sign: Improved Sonographic Identification of the Sciatic Nerve,” published in the September 2004 issue of Anesthesiology (

), the third sentence of the second paragraph on page 808 reads “. . . external rotation of the sciatic nerve . . .” and should read “. . . internal rotation of the sciatic nerve. . . .”
