Her arms, his cradle as
He sleeps. To only him, she
Softly speaks; her voice, his
Peace.
The breath grows cold,
His body, old—she must
Let him go to worlds
Unknown.
She whispers her goodbye,
And feels within the rising
Cry, as he sleeps in final
Rest.
