For the article by Nicholson et al. in the January 2001 issue of Anesthesiology (2001; 94:120–8), the following statement should have been included in the footnote on page 120: Drs. Lees and Nicholson contributed equally to this work.

For the article by Ibrahim et al.  in the January 2001 issue of Anesthesiology (2001; 94:87–94), in the appendix, incorrect affiliations were given for two members of the Sevoflurane Sedation Study Group.

J. Philip and E. Roaf are affiliated with the Department of Anesthesia, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts.

For the case report by Toung et al.  in the February 2001 issue of Anesthesiology (2001; 94:360–1), text was mistakenly deleted after the last line of the first paragraph. The text should have continued as follows:

We report herein a case of fatal air embolism that occurred after a known amount of air (200 ml) was mistakenly injected into the right ventricle instead of into the pericardial cavity for performance of pneumopericardiography. We believe that this is the first documented case of a specific volume of air being lethal to an adult human.
