32nd Annual Anesthesiology Journal Symposium: Protecting Moms: Anesthesiology and Peridelivery Care

The maternal mortality rate in United States is the highest of any high-income country. Racial and ethnic disparities in maternal mortality are some of the most pronounced inequities in all of medicine. The pathophysiology of many obstetrical complications remains poorly understood.

Through plenary lectures by experts in the field and featured top abstracts, this symposium will explore research relating to maternal morbidity and mortality, with a focus on maternal “peridelivery” safety.

Anesthesiology invites research abstracts and full-length articles related to the theme of its Annual Journal Symposium at ANESTHESIOLOGY®2023: Protecting Moms: Anesthesiology and Peridelivery Care.  

Abstracts will be presented orally during the live symposium, and authors will be offered an opportunity to submit their full manuscripts to Anesthesiology. All abstract submissions must meet deadlines and guidelines set by the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Abstracts for presentation at the ANESTHESIOLOGY®2023 can be submitted here, with a deadline of April 5, 2023.
