A research grant of $10,000 will be awarded by the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine (SASM) to develop ideas for population or database studies/clinical trials in the areas of common interest to sleep medicine and anesthesia.

Applications are invited from fellows, junior investigators and mid-career investigators with interest in the fields of anesthesia and sleep medicine. Successful applications will focus on initiation or development of population or database studies concerning issues common to anesthesia and sleep disorders. The funded project is expected to result in leveraging large databases or generating preliminary data for future prospective studies addressing pressing questions in the area of anesthesia and sleep medicine. The successful applicant will be awarded free registration to present his/her findings at a future SASM annual meeting. Deadline for submissions is July 1, 2013.
