It seems today that everyone is using lists and ratings to make decisions. Which restaurant or movie should I go to? Which car, computer or phone should I buy? What is the best vacation spot? Myriad Internet ratings and lists of “the best” have flooded popular culture, and hospitals are no exception. There is no consensus expert on ranking hospitals, and criteria are valued differently among organizations that create these ratings, so we have used three separate lists across multiple years to develop our own “Top 100” list.
