By the time you read this article, the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center will have done something that, from our understanding, no other institution has ever undertaken. We will have moved into two new hospitals within less than one calendar year. These events have allowed us to gain insight into leadership during a time of transition/disruption.
