Anesthesiology News reported in December that the Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) model lowers costs and optimizes care. ASA members from Kaiser Permanente in California and Ochsner Health System in Louisiana reported that PSHs have reduced hospital lengths of stay and reduced the costs associated with care.
The outlet also featured a study in December by ASA members Shaul Cohen, M.D., and Antonio Chiricolo, M.D., concerning reduced complications from C-sections.
