According to the Cisco Visual Networking Index, worldwide mobile device and connections grew from 6.9 billion in 2013 to 7.4 billion in 2014 – incredibly, there are more mobile devices on earth than there are people. To call this a “trend” doesn’t adequately speak to the proportions of the mobile technology revolution. Mobile technology is not just the future of computing and communication, it is becoming (and in some cases already is) the foundation upon which many businesses and industries operate. Although we have all manner of users in mind as we develop our IT capabilities, mobile technology will be a primary focus for the society going forward.
