WHEN I was informed that Chad Brummett would receive the 2017 American Society of Anesthesiologists Presidential Scholar Award, I was very pleased and proud but not surprised. Chad was a graduate of the University of Indiana (undergraduate and medical school) who chose to venture north to Michigan for residency. Chad was exceptional from the very start.
