The Texas Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) is blessed to bewell organized and to have awealth of passionate physicians dedicated to serving our patients and our members. Because of this, the path to the TSA presidency usually involves a long road, including years of service as a delegate, district director, committee chair and member of the executive committee. The Texas legislature is in session every other year from January to May. Typically, officers with an appetite, skillset and experience serving our crucial advocacy needs are selected to serve as TSA president during the years that the Texas Legislature is in session, and so it has been for me.
