During the past year, as ASA’s First Vice President, I have enjoyed many opportunities to travel to state component societies and meet so many ASA members in your own home states. These invaluable trips allowed me to observe and participate at the true grassroots level. As I completed this year, I did so carrying vivid impressions and guidance you have graciously given me with regard to core priorities and expectations of our members.

So, let’s talk about our shared vision for the future.

Repeatedly, our members point to advocacy as our society’s highest priority. Accordingly, as the new year begins, we intend to build upon the successes of last year’s advocacy initiatives.
