Many things come to mind when we think about June. It is a popular month for weddings and graduations. It marks the official start of summer. June also signals the beginning of an annual rulemaking cycle. CMS typically releases its proposed rules for the upcoming year for both MACRA’s Quality Payment Program (QPP) and the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) by late June.
As I write this article (April) I cannot forecast the specifics of what may or may not be included in these proposed rules.
