The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA), through the good offices and support of member societies like ASA, runs multiple anesthesia education and training programs around the world to enhance patient safety and care. Below are some of the vital statistics on education.
Together with the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland, the WFSA partnered with many society members to conduct a three-day “Safer Anaesthesia From Education” training courses in obstetric and pediatric anesthesia provision around the globe – training more than 2,825 clinicians across the world since 2011.
The WFSA has partnered with others to create a multidisciplinary education program to implement simple measures for pain management – training over 1,300 health care workers in essential pain management by the end of 2018.
