The leadership of the Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) considers it a privilege to have the society’s activities and initiatives communicated to the ASA membership, specifically in this issue of the ASA Monitor. Although SNACC is an international society interested in perioperative neurosciences, not limited to a region or a specific specialty, our members do value close relationships with ASA. Up until this year, the SNACC annual meeting was in conjunction with the ASA annual meeting. Both societies and both meetings have grown and improved significantly through the years, and thus September 12-14, 2019, will mark the inaugural stand-alone SNACC annual meeting.
