In 2015, the Committee on Practice Management and Committee on Large Group Practices envisioned a leadership course for ASA members. At that time, Jane Fitch, M.D., ASA Past President, formed an Ad Hoc Leadership Committee with Jeff Mueller, M.D., FASA, as chair and Joe Szokol, M.D., as vice chair. Ultimately, the partnership with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management was created, and the ASA Executive Physician Leadership Program had its inaugural class in 2016.
