George S. Bause, M.D., M.P.H., to Receive 2019 Wood Library-Museum Distinguished Service Award

George S. Bause, M.D., M.P.H., the 2019 recipient of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM) Distinguished Service Award (DSA), has a record of superb accomplishments and distinguished service to both the WLM and the medical specialty of anesthesiology. For the past 32 years, Dr. Bause has served as Honorary Curator of the WLM, where he is passionately committed to maintaining and advancing the WLM as a vibrant beacon of knowledge and service, firmly believing that the rich heritage of our specialty should not be relegated to the dust bin of insignificance or be abandoned to the predations of time. George is quick to underscore that volunteerism is a Bause family tradition; everyone in the family has donated countless hours of work over decades to advance a vast array of worthy causes.
