Over the last few years, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) has explored its role in the evolving pain medicine field. As our work becomes more integrated and collaborative, our understanding of pain more complex, and new therapeutic possibilities emerge, ASRA has expanded beyond regional anesthesia techniques. We believe that by working together, across disciplines, we can truly achieve our vision to relieve the global burden of pain.

To that end, we have worked to identify what health care professionals need to care for patients across the full spectrum of pain. We have developed educational programs that focus on the bridge between acute and chronic pain.
