After two years of a virtual conference format due to COVID-19, I returned to Washington with more than 400 colleagues in May for LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE 2022! I was pleased to see the high energy present throughout the conference by our members who were thrilled to be back in person and to demonstrate their continued commitment to advocacy. Our attendees represented 39 states and traveled to the nation's capital to participate in the engaging three-day program devoted to protecting patient safety and safeguarding the specialty. I was happy to see hundreds of anesthesiologists, certified anesthesiologist assistants, residents, students, and anesthesia practice administrators and executives who took the time to hear about the top issues impact the specialty, and then took action to inform their lawmakers.
