Values are reported in mean (hours) ± SE. The block of all responses by both 5 and 10 mm prenylamine is statistically significant as compared with the block in the bupivacaine group (P < 0.05). In no instance did drug injection lead to death or any other severe complications in the control or injected limbs except for the observable signs of analgesia in the injected limb only.
