Using the data from figure 5, the times to the maximum morphine effect-site concentrations (C^max), and various fractional values of C^max, were determined after intravenous or inhalation administration of 1 mg morphine. The lower value for C^maxafter inhalation reflects the 59% bioavailability of this method of administration. Although the time to the peak effect is longer after inhalation, the times to 25% of the peak effect are similar.
