IC⁵⁰= concentration that inhibits acetylcholinesterase to 50% of the maximal inhibition by the drug; Hill = the Hill coefficient from equation 1 (see Methods); Maximal inhibition = the percentage of control activity remaining at the highest inhibitor concentration, determined by the plateau of the concentration–effect relationship; Plasma concentration = for the neuromuscular antagonists and reversal agents, these are plasma concentrations achieved during paralysis or cholinesterase inhibition, respectively, in human subjects. The glycoalkaloid plasma concentrations are those found after a normal serving of potato (200–400 g).
