K1, K2, and A are constants obtained by fitting translaryngeal-flow relationship to the differential equation P ={A * (dV̇/dt)}+ (K1*V̇) + (K2*V̇)* (absV̇), where P, dV̇/dt, V̇, and abs (V̇) denote translaryngeal pressure, acceleration calculated by differentiation from gas flow, gas flow, and absolute value of gas flow, respectively. Quality of fit is provided by coefficient R2.
