Serial dilutions of tissue homogenates (liver, lung, spleen, kidney) were performed in saline and then seeded in Luria-Bertani Agar culture medium. After a 24-h incubation at 37°C, the colony-forming units were counted in order to evaluate the bacterial concentration. The data are represented as a box plot.
