Samples were treated for 10 min at 37°C with different XeC concentrations as indicated in the figure. This protocol phase was followed by treatment with 2 mm 4CmC and incubation at 37°C for additional 30 min. *XeC (10 μM) significantly (P = 0.002) reduced 4CmC (2 mm)-induced adenosine formation.
