Undergoing 20 min warm no-flow ischemia followed by 10 min reperfusion significantly increased the adhesion from control nonischemic conditions. Application of sevoflurane (Sevo) in a concentration of 1 minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) significantly reduced adhesion of platelets in postischemic hearts to near the level obtained under control conditions.
